About D.P. Snyder

I write essays and short fiction. As a translator, I am a passionate promoter of contemporary Hispanic women's literature. I have studied writing with authors Michael Griffith, Adrianne Harun, Holly Goddard Jones, Neil Shea, Adam Foulds, Mónica Lavín, and Alberto Chimal, among others. I was born in Philadelphia and lived in New York City for most of my life. There, I worked at Sports Illustrated and Interview magazines. Then for nine years, I served as the Program Administrator of The Latin American Workshop, a nonprofit arts and education organization on Manhattan's Upper West Side. I toured Europe as a singer-songwriter in the early part of the 21st century and was based in Berlin and Cologne, Germany. Now, I live and work in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
